We couldnt get enough of the beautiful views. Very spacious and clean. Overall was a great experience, we had so much fun in the mountains. Wish we could have stayed more.Two things to be aware of - if is winter the garage is a bit of a challenge, there is snow everywhere and you will have to shovel yourself. Make sure you have a AWD and good tires. Secondly, always check the water when you arrive and let the host know as soon as you can if theres is any issues. unfortunately we were without water for one whole day expecting that the well would recover quickly. Host Emergency number works great and they sent someone. But it was past office hours so we had to wait until late night to have the water fixed.Thank you SkyRun for hosting us, we loved the experience and we will definitely come back. We would definitely come back here again. December 15, 2023 - Skyrun Great views by Nate Stayed with a group of 8 for a weekend trip from Denver. Roads going there were a bit difficult with several inches of snow the night driving up there, handled well with an AWD SUV with snow tires. Driveway was the most difficult in terms of snow accumulation, with about 8 inches of snow. The next day the driveway was plowed, which was really nice. Views from the balcony are incredible. House is huge and fit 8 comfortably. In the morning there was a big horn sheep right outside the bedroom, incredible! The day of checkout it was incredibly windy, but the other days were nice. Would definitely stay here again. They had all the basics we needed (shampoo, coffee, etc) provided, which was nice. Pans were usable but not nice. It might benefit from a walkthrough of the utensils as some of the knives were incredibly dull and breaking at the handle, etc. Overall great trip. A cozy home away from home with some amazing space and amenities. Close to everything but not too close. Access to skiing, hiking, Casinos, Nederland, Golden, and Boulder are all less than 45 minutes away. And, yet all far enough away from the crowds that you can relax and retreat. The deck views of the continental divide are amazing, creating the perfect setting for conversation or a novel. The house itself is spacious and comfortable with all necessary amenities for a relaxing, enjoyable time. The hot tub just off the deck is an extra bonus and a nice hiking trail is close by. The lodge itself is beautiful with plenty of room for family or group gatherings, space inside to relax and a wonderful deck to look at the mountains, and occasional wildlife. One day we were visited by a moose, who stayed and relaxed with us!! And of course plenty to do outside such as hiking, or stay by the house to grill and enjoy the hot tub. Highly recommend!! Beautiful decor and comfortable layout allow for a calm retreat, a family reunion, or a gathering of friends. The spaciousness of the house allows for multiple families/couples to stay together and yet each with their own space. The deck is incredible from sun up to sun down and beyond. The location includes a remarkable view of the continental divide while also remaining relatively close to the Boulder/Denver metro areas as well as a myriad of mountain sports adventures. The nearby town of Nederland has some wonderful restaurants and shops. You won’t regret booking this house. We can’t wait to return! Wake up in the morning to have a cup of coffee on the back deck and take in the gorgeous views of the Rocky Mountains as the sun rises. There’s plenty of space to play board games, card games, or put together a puzzle. A perfect retreat that’s still close to Boulder and Nederland for any restaurants and activities you’re looking to do. We’ve even seen a moose walk past the windows on the bottom level! (Make sure you stay inside and leave them be - they are wild animals after all) This is a very spacious house perfect for your family to meet and relax in while enjoying the beauty of Colorado.
